Frank Verduzco “Capt.”— Station 11 Captain

I’ve been part of this family for 36 years. I have been with Ponderosa telephone for just as long. I’ve seen our town grow, and most of the people too. I have 3 wonderful daughters, and 4 even better Grandchildren.

Jere Miller — LT / E.M.T.

Joined NFFD in 1974. Certified EMT, and master Fire Fighter, with over 30 certifications in all types of fire fighting techniques, rescue, and investigations.

Agustin “Auggie” Capuchino — Firefighter / Engineer

I was born and raised in North Fork, Sierra High Alumni, class of 1971. Former USFS employee at Minarets Ranger District in North Fork. Recent retiree from Chawanakee Joint School District as a school bus driver/maintenance for the past 31 years. I served as Captain for the 2003-2005 term, and have served as lieutenant  for 5 years. I currently have devoted over 20 years of community volunteer service to NFFD. I enjoy climbing and backpacking in the Sierras with my llamas. I also am an avid 10k race participant in the “Valley Runner of the Year” series.

Damien “T-Rex” Shipley — Fire Fighter / E.M.T.

I’m D. I’m a good family man, love firefighting, and love to help others. I joined NFFD in 2006, and have been loving it ever since.

Robert Hawkins “Hawk”—Fire Fighter / Paramedic

Joined NFFD in 2004. Current Paramedic with American Ambulance; CPR, PALS, and ACLS instructor, also the Community Education Coordinator for NFFD. Former U.S. Marine and Deputy Sheriff in the Bay Area. Moved to North Fork in 2001.


Rick Garner — Engineer / E.M.T.

Joined NFVFD in January 2002. Current EMT with Sierra Ambulance, engine and water tender driver. Owner of Yosemite Bicycle & Sport shop in Oakhurst. Former owner of Garner’s Pro Bike Shop in Redwood City since 1972. Avid road and mountain cyclist and trail advocate. Moved to North Fork in 2000 to enjoy the mountains.
